From the Russian Market Crisis to a New International Strategy

An Italian company with a strong export-oriented business model experienced a significant decline in turnover following the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and the resulting reduction in exports to the Russian Federation.

With the support of OAK, the company secured a €175,000 SIMEST financing package, including €70,000 in non-repayable funding, aimed at supporting its international relaunch and diversification strategy. The financial support enabled the company to turn a challenging situation into a new growth opportunity, with a particular focus on the US market and on strengthening its presence across Europe.

In the United States, the company has already begun investing, including through a Temporary Export Manager, targeting customers with high purchasing power and a strong appreciation for quality, uniqueness, and Made in Italy excellence. The project also included increased participation in international trade fairs and events, as well as investments in product innovation through the development and testing of new materials and production solutions.

From market loss to a new growth opportunity: OAK supported the company in turning a crisis into a concrete project for international development.
